Group Uses Gardening to Promote Unity and Civic Pride

A local group is utilizing gardening as a means to foster unity and civic pride within their community.

The Romsey group, affiliated with Amnesty International, participated in a tidy-up initiative at Romsey railway station in support of the 3 Rivers Community Rail Partnership.

Amnesty’s theme this year is Community as a Superpower and we hope that, by leaving Romsey station a little better than we found it, people will see that working together as a community is a force for good.

Group chair Fay Fleming emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating that people are proud of Romsey and feel responsible for its care.

The group's efforts aim to demonstrate the positive impact of collaborative community work.
