The 2025–26 NBA season continues with nine Gonzaga alumni appearing on rosters so far. Veteran forward Kelly Olynyk recently debuted for the San Antonio Spurs, marking his first appearance of the year.
Two other Gonzaga graduates, Memphis forward Brandon Clarke and Chicago center Zach Collins, have not yet played due to injuries — Clarke is recovering from a knee issue and will be reevaluated in mid-November, while Collins, dealing with a wrist injury, is also expected to return around that time.
Injuries have also slowed the starts of Andrew Nembhard, who has only appeared in one game, and Domantas Sabonis, who missed early-season action but has since returned. Meanwhile, Rui Hachimura and Jalen Suggs have started strong, Ryan Nembhard made his NBA debut, and Chet Holmgren is quickly building an impressive case for a potential All-Star nod.
Stats: 9 games, 16.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 47.2% from three-point range in 35.9 minutes per game.
“The Lakers have been without LeBron James to start the season and have only had star guard Luka Doncic for five of nine games. That has allowed Hachimura to thrive in a much bigger role.”
Hachimura has responded with a career-best scoring output, averaging 16.7 points per game and logging nearly 36 minutes per contest — a sign of his growing importance to the Lakers' rotation.
Several Gonzaga alumni are making waves in the NBA, with Rui Hachimura and Chet Holmgren shining early despite injury setbacks for others.
