The Missouri National Guard rescued more than 200 people from a summer camp in the southeastern part of the state. Black Hawk helicopters and local teams pulled many campers, including numerous kids, to safety as flash floods swept through MO and KY. Rescues stretched into day after as floodwaters spread threats from the region south. Officials reported countless evacuations across several areas during the emergency. Jefferson City water rescue teams helped in Rural Missouri flooding efforts. Storms and intense rain continue to target the southern states while threats shift after the tragic waves in Missouri.
