Caroline Voaden Fights for Totnes Banking Hub
South Devon MP Caroline Voaden continues her campaign for a banking hub in Totnes, questioning a Treasury Minister in Parliament.
She asked if new regulation is needed to retain face-to-face banking services in rural areas, noting the Financial Conduct Authority only protects access to cash.
Lloyds Banking Group will prevent customers from cashing cheques at Post Offices from January next year.
Ms Voaden emphasized the need for government oversight on face-to-face banking services to prevent their loss.
